#Rare Footage Of Volcanic Lightning

00:11 COMM: As the Sakurajima volcano is Southern Japan erupts a series of times, volcanic lightning in the ash cloud is clearly visible.  And phenomenon that is rarely seen and not fully understood by scientists. 00:37 COMM: Mark Legislate is a photographer who specialism shooting volcano.  In his career he's climbed over forty.  Many of them several times.  Nearly march he was studying the Murasaki volcano in Japan, and witnessed several eruptions. 01:03 COMM: Volcanic lightning is rare to observe,as it only usually occurs at large eruptions.  But this seems to be a hot spot where it can be seen frequently. 01:16 COMM: The last major eruption of the volcano occurred in 1914 when thirty-five people died. 01:25 COMM: But since 1955, it's been erupting almost constantly, and experts worry that another large eruption might be imminent.
